Solidarity with Red Shirts

The Thai pro-democracy Red Shirt protesters have been in and out of the papers constantly for months. They are protesting against the military sponsored government, demanding democracy.

This morning’s story saw plans for a march to go ahead despite threats from authorites of violence. This afternoon’s story reports Thai security forces firing into crowds. Not only have they fired at protesters, but one soldier has been shot in the head by friendly fire, and is feared dead.

An end to State brutality! I can only condemn these actions.

Solidarity with all those who face brutality in the pursuit of democracy!
